Rapper T.I. just recently announced his latest business venture. After leaving the major-label system in 2014 T.I. found a new home under Jay Z’s wing. While performing at Greenbriar Mall in his hometown on Feb 22, T.I. announced he signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation for his upcoming album, Dime Trap.
A new beginning for myself as an artist and for Hustle Gang as a company. We have partnered with Roc Nation and I am part owner of TIDAL so if you ain’t subscribe to TIDAL right now, go and do it.
At the same time, he exclusively released his new single from the album, Money Talk. This album will be T.I.’s first album without a major label backing it, though Roc Nation is disturbed through Universal Music Group.
According to TIDAL.com:
TIDAL is a global music and entertainment platform that brings artists and fans together through unique music and content experiences and is currently available in 46 countries. TIDAL brings music fans closer to their favorite artist and gives on-demand access to discover new music from our massive music and video catalog.
Many of the founding and supporting artists of TIDAL have used the streaming music platform to exclusively release music, videos, and major announcements to fans.
TIDAL being just a little over a year old, Jay Z’s music streaming service has been in talks with Samsung several sources told the New York Post. Samsung has been rumored to be an interested buyer in TIDAL. Maybe they finally got the chance to potentially make a profit. Research also shows that Google and Spotify have also been dinner guests at this talk of buying the fresh music meat on the block.
You made a smart move on the board Tip! We look forward to you rubbing elbows with the TIDAL tribe.
