Kevin Hart “Let Me Explain” Breaks Records At Box Office

Turn Up!!! Kevin Hart has definitely come a substantial way from his Soul Plane days. His new stand-up comedy film Let Me Explain has been a box office hit since it’s release on Wednesday July 3, 2012.
According to The Grio.

Eddie Murphy’s seminal 1987 stand-up film Raw remains the most profitable in the genre’s history earning 50 million. If adjusted for inflation, that total would reach $100 million in 2013 numbers.

However, Kevin grossed an outstanding amount of money considering it was only shown in 876 theaters. During the opening day the movie pulled in $4.8 million, which according to Variety it should translate to somewhere around $29 million through Sunday. Deadline.com reported,”The film has already earned $7.4 million in ticket sales during its first two days of release, which nearly eclipsed the entire run of Laugh at My Pain.” This is an extremely great time for Kevin!

The movie starts off with Kevin being accused of a series of absurd allegations that no one would let him explain. The comedian eventually gets tired of the accusations and takes the Madison Square Garden stage to get some things off his chest. We relive the heart-thropped moment where Kevin Hart is before 30,000 people in a sold out show. At the end, he notes that not many comedians have been in the position to perform at the Madison Square Garden before and he is so thankful for the opportunity. Throughout the film you are filled with hearty laughs and tear filled eyes, which is expected from any Kevin Hart production.

Gotta love this little man!!! Watch the trailer below.

Kevin Hart is still making moves he is scheduled to have several major movie releases in the coming months and years, including Ride Along (a buddy action comedy with Ice Cube), a remake of the 80′s Rob Lowe hit About Last Night and a co-starring role alongside Hollywood heavyweights Robert DeNiro and Sylvester Stallone in Grudge Match.
