What a time to be alive.
Over the past few months, Drake has consistently supplied fans with just enough new music to keep them comfortable but finally the wait is over! After dropping several hits including the chart-topping single “Hotline Bling”, dancehall inspired “One Dance”, and of course “Summer Sixteen”; Drizzy is finally giving the fans what they’ve been anxiously waiting for with the release of his fourth studio album, Views From The 6.
Earlier this week, Drake returned to social media to drop all the announcements needed to build up anticipation for the Views release. He took to his Instagram to give us a first look at the albums jaw-dropping cover art which featured the superstar sitting atop the famed CN Tower overlooking the Toronto Skyline.
He then returned to the gram to announce the “Summer Sixteen Tour” (appropriately named after the recently released single) accompanied by Future, Roy Woods, DVSN, and a few other special guests that have yet to be announced.

The self-proclaimed Champagne Papi continued to send the internet into a frenzy by releasing the albums 20-song tracklist followed by a short video clip to keep fans occupied until its official release.
While many of you were most likely tuned in to Drizzy’s new album, the rapper was conducting what he says “is his very last interview” with Zane Lowe. Here’s a few excerpts.
On getting Jay and Kanye on “Pop Style:
Jay didn’t really do a verse. I was just trying to get ‘Ye on it first. Jay kinda just did my first few lines for me and that’s how we flexed it … It didn’t play out how I wanted it to go. Sometimes [Jay Z and I] just fall on opposite sides of the spectrum. It’s always mutual respect but sometimes it has to be from afar.
On his relationship with Nicki Minaj:
I don’t really talk to Nicki. Another person I have a lot of love for … Not only for our past and the how much work and time we put it, but for how she dealt with the situation at hand. She dealt with me how I would expect her to — with class. I always have respect and love for her. Unfortunately, we haven’t spoke.
On how he feels Views will be received:
I don’t want you to get it right away … Great music takes a little work. It takes elevating your listening level.
