Chris Brown appeared to be low spirited while being read his sentence in an L.A. courtroom yesterday. Superior Court Judge James Brandlin has ordered that the singer be held in prison for one month after being kicked out of rehab for violation of the facility’s policies.
Shortly after the verdict was read Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, burst into tears inside the court room. An inside source tells Hollywood Life that Mark, Chris’ lawyer. immediately ran over to console her and told her:
Don’t worry, he’ll be fine. We’re taking care of things.
The eyewitness continued…
Joyce was extremely distraught today in court, not being able to hold him, hug him, or give him a kiss in support. She was devastated that he couldn’t come home or at least go back to rehab for treatment.
She didn’t want to see him behind bars. She was sad.
We’re told that Joyce couldn’t stand the sight of seeing Chris in his orange jumpsuit.
Chris’ next court date will be held on April 17th for the incident that took pace in Washington D.C. It is unclear at this point if whether or not Chris has violated parole for the Rihanna incident that happened back in 2009. If so, the singer could face up to four years in prison.
