New Music Video: Beyonce “Formation”

formation020816-b-real-style-beauty-beyonce-formation-music-video-still-9beyonce-formation-car-braides.0.0

Ladies – line up!

Two members of royalty in the music world have collided for a great cause. Queen Bey and the Queen Diva, Big Freedia, have joined on Beyonce’s latest video release, “Formation”. Beyonce surprises the Bey Hive once again with an epic drop of her latest release “Formation”. The music video was put out on Saturday, February 6 via YouTube.

Beyonce adds some real gutta flava on this track with features of bounce artists Big Freedia and Messy Mya. The Bounce Music along with the country girl feel is just righttt! There are multiple cameo’s from Blue Ivy throughout the visual displaying her iconic natural fro that the media tries to downplay so often. Beyonce speaks on the hair type of black women as well as other beauties of the African-American culture in lyrics such as, “I like my baby hair, with baby hair, and afros”. Right in time for Black History Month Bey!

The New Orleans feel is the perfect twist for “Formation” as Beyonce is part Creole, which originates in the state of Louisiana. Beyonce pays major homage to her roots in this track by embracing the culture of New Iberia, Louisiana. Fuse TV star, Big Freedia of TV series Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce, speaks with Fuse TV on his experience working with Beyonce, “It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I was beyond honored to work with the original Queen B.”

The message being portrayed behind the lyrics in “Formation” seem to describe the wealthy lifestyle Queen Bey lives as she also addresses the rumors her haters spread about her ‘being a part of the illuminati.’ The bragging of wealth continues throughout “Formation” as Beyonce states, “You just might be a Black Bill Gates in the making, cause I slay, I just might be a Black Bill Gates in the making.”

Rapper Wale Opens Up About Taking Pills, Going Through A Miscarriage And Being Depressed

wale-album-about-nothing-1

It’s no secret that rapper Wale wears his heart on his sleeves. Although the DC native has achieved much success it seems as if he isn’t comfortable at his level of artistry and in his most recent interview with Billboard he gets candid about it. The rapper also gets personal while sharing stories about taking pills, going through a miscarriage with his ex and more.

These are the things you are most likely going to hear about on his new album The Album About Nothing.

Get into it below.

What are you talking about on this album that hits closest to home when it comes to your life?

The music industry. You can say I’m sensitive, but music is why I live. Other people have kids or a strong woman in their lives; all I have is my music. I constantly work my ass off and I’m not in these magazines — all I can go by is the people and what they say. People ask, “Why do you check social-media comments?” But what else do I have, bro? I don’t get no major articles. Nobody talks about Wale like that. So what do you do when you’re busting your ass and taking pills to stay up and be able to provide the right energy, and you’re not seeing the proper response?

What kind of pills?

My confidence was shot, so I’d be taking whatever to keep me in a good mood, to get me in the right mood for an interview. I’m not going into the details as to what I was taking, but there’s definitely something for that. Just like there’s a fuckin’ app for everything, there’s a damn pill for everything. Or something you can pour in your glass. I was depressed not being where I wanna be in my career when I’ve put the work in. I wasn’t sleeping. I was drinking all day and I didn’t have anyone to go to. I couldn’t fight it. Those are some of the demons I talk about on the album.

On “The Matrimony,” you rap about going through a miscarriage…

The girl I was with, we tried for a long time to have a child. And when she finally did [get pregnant], she miscarried at 10 or 11 weeks. I was visualizing my child’s face. We gave it a name and everything. All of that went away. And a couple of months before that, one of my closest friends died in a car accident, a cousin that was there for me through blood, sweat and tears. So I go through all that and I go online and some white kid is saying, “You dumb ni—r, you’ll never be as good asJ. Cole.” You put all that together…

That’s a lot at once.

All these rappers, they do songs about their mothers. I’m Nigerian — my mother didn’t encourage me to do this. Even when [my first album] Attention Deficit came out and I had kind of made it, most parents would have been like, “My baby did it!” but I don’t have that. My mom didn’t come to my [youth football league] games. I posted a football picture on Instagram the other day. That was my fuckin’ rec’ coach on my [high school] senior night. My mom didn’t come to that. I can’t even explain to my mom what my job entails. She just knows that all of her bills are going to be paid. I didn’t have one-on-ones with my mom or dad. I was in juvenile facilities a lot. My point is that I grew up with the outside world meaning the most to me. This is in hindsight — I’m trying to figure out why I’m this way. I rely on the people’s opinions, because I don’t have much outside of that. I’m already on the side of Meek [Mill] and [Rick] Ross trying to squeeze in the picture. And I’m trying to keep a smile on my face. Imagine how you’d feel if someone who put in less work than you blew up? People say, “You’re such a bitch online.” That’s all I have — my opportunity to connect with you. I didn’t want to be the guy that everyone was like, “He’s got such a bad attitude.” But I’ve been through shit.

What else have you been through?

Getting dropped from a label is only fun to people who can’t feel it. [Wale was released by Interscope Records in 2010.] Everybody was laughing at Trinidad James when he got dropped. Damn, what if you just lost your job today? What if your friend got shot at and crashed his car and wasn’t picking up the phone? I was in tears when Ross got shot at [in 2013]. He doesn’t even know that. I was scared. I was thinking the worst. He wasn’t picking up the phone. But I was seeing all these people laugh at him on social media. That’s my friend! Someone said [on Twitter], “I wish it had been you” when A$AP Yams died. What did I do to you? Is a retweet or laugh that important to you? I’m sensitive, okay? God gave me the ability to feel twice as much so I can write, twice as much maybe.

What did you get from your time from hanging with Kanye West in Paris a few weeks ago?

How organized his shit is. He’s very organized and people listen. He has a staff that will listen to him. I have a staff whose mind tends to wander or they’ll act like I’m working for them. Even when Kim [Kardashian] is in there, things are centered around the breadwinner and creator. And he has the same thing as me, where he tries to make sure he’s not offending anybody. That’s something I recognized. He’ll say something and then follow it up with, “You know, I wasn’t trying to…” And the person will say, “It’s all good!’ I’m like that too. I want to make sure I don’t offend anyone. In this industry, you can be so offensive to somebody and not even know it, like, “Bruh, I could’ve sworn that I kissed every baby in here.”

Your last album hit No. 1. Do you think this album will get you the respect you want?

I gave this my all. I’m not trying to whine about being critically acclaimed or getting in the door, but it breaks my heart. Everyone says, “Be patient. It’ll happen.” But all signs are showing, “No, it won’t happen.” I’m okay with people not liking my music but provide an intelligent reason for why you like or don’t like something or you’re a hater or a dick-rider. This is my fourth album. I want some respect. I want to go to a party and not have Katy Perry tell her security to move me out of the fuckin’ way. We do the same thing. I know there’s no union in the music industry, but have some respect.  I want people to be like, “Your album’s just as good asKendrick [Lamar]‘s or Esperanza Spalding or Beck.” I work just as hard as them.

Leaked Audio: Ray J Admits To Dating And Using Whitney Houston For Fame

Whitney+Houston+Ray+J

Ray J has mastered the art of staying relevant. Ha!

Somehow, some way audio of Ray J talking about his former ex-boo Whitney Houston has managed to hit the web. In the leaked audio you’ll hear Ray tell the story of him being in his prime during that time which is why he would never fully commit to her. The One Wish singer admits to boasting off of being a player and that he was pretty much using her to get more famous. Although Ray says he was receiving opportunities of a lifetime from dating her he indicates that he was very unhappy with Whitney which is why he let her go.

Read more and listen to the full audio below.

I was right at the peak of the Kim K. sex tape, Whitney Houston just I’m on top of the world as far as being a bad boy so at that point you know what’s up. You’re gonna’ be with me when I want you to be with me. And then when we’re not together imma’ be with her or whoever the fu-k I wanna’ be with. You know wassup with me… Publicly you know what I do.

And how did you feel about that internally?

At that point I was boasting off of it. I didn’t have anybody to be like hold on, cut all of this sh-t out and reconstruct your career now. You feel what I’m saying? Reconstruct it now.

Once the Whitney “thing” happened you had that?:

I could’ve reconstructed crazy. But a lot of people was turned off cause she was big. And I was getting her right but she was a little older and her image in the past wasn’t as solid as I would’ve got with a Mariah Carey.

You could’ve been the guy to turn her around after the Bobby “thing”:

I would’ve had to be with her though. And that was something that everyday that I was with her I was not happy… I was not happy. And I saw myself, I was like yo I’m on top of the world… look at all the people I’m shaking hands with right now. Like right now today, or when I was with her. On top of the world, like literally… like the dude said. I would sit at dinner and people would come in, the prince of whatever and be like ‘yo we want to give you this’ and I’d be like ‘cool’ but I wasn’t happy.  She was yearning for me for everything. She was yearning you feel what I’m saying and I was unhappy. So I didn’t want to sell my soul for that. Knowing that it’s not right, knowing that I’m playing with her mind a little bit to get me somewhere, but what’s crazy is that now that you tell me that, I can still do that. The new man can do that. I’m just saying as the new man we have that option and we should take advantage of that option.

You should do her right.:

I always do her right.  Before we were really right do you know how long it took me to really make it right with her.

Is she clean?:

Absolutely! I mean until… if I want her to be

The audio ends abruptly when Ray is asked if Whitney is living a drug-free lifestyle. Hmmmm. Take a listen below.

Yikes! Chris Brown Lashes Out Over Baby Rumors

FullSizeRender (2)

So by now we’re sure you’ve heard about Chris Brown’s rumored 9 month old baby. Just to give you a little back story Chris’ alleged “baby mama” used to be good friends with Karrueche’s best friend Christina Milian and she goes by the name of Nia. Karrueche ended up finding out about Nia when Chris’ road manager accidentally sent her Nia’s itinerary. So apparently Chris had been booking flights for ole’ girl. Karrueche hopped on Twitter that day and tweeted:

Ya’ll know a Nia?

and later deleted it.

A few days later news broke that Chris and this Nia chick had secretly birthed a 9 month old little girl named Royalty. Didn’t take long for Chris’ on and off girlfriend Tran to take to Twitter again. This time it sounds like she may be done for good. She wrote:

Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.

Chris hasn’t uttered a word about the situation up until last night after being fed up with fans hounding him about the situation. He clapped back at fans under an Instagram post stating the following:

How ya’ll kiss my a–. Ima post what the fu-k I want, say what I want when I want. I don’t owe you nosey muhfu-kas a damn thing. This FRUITZ #500

Welp there it is!

Christina Milian and her boo Lil Wayne also threw in their 2 cents.

Christina tweeted:

Besties Be Like… #WeAintWorried

Lil Wayne tweeted:

Free CB! Mane it’s hard out here for a pimp! #FWA

Here’s a pic of Nia and the baby. nia-chris-browns-baby-photo

Nicki Minaj Talks Relationship With Meek Mill, Beef With Tyga, Young Money Split And More

FullSizeRender (1)

Although Meek Mill feels he and Nicki are “doing too much” for the gram these two continue to put their love on display for the world to see.

She recently took a break from her love life and hectic work schedule to call into BBC’s Radio One to discuss recent events with Charlie Sloth. The two briefly touched basis on the Pink Print Tour set to kick off in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday with Trey Songz, if she’s rolling with Birdman or Lil Wayne, Truffle Butter song controversy surrounding Tyga and even gave us a little piece of what its like dating the MMG rapper.

Whether she and Drake will go with Wayne if Young Money splits:

I don’t think it will ever get to that point. I mean, people know I love Wayne but I love Baby too. I mean I’m very close with Baby and I don’t think people know that. I am banking on the fact that they’re going to work this out like family. They’ve gone through things before just like family does and it is what it is they gone get through it so I’m not even going to think that way.

Recently Tyga was on The Breakfast Club all in his feelings about being taken off Drake and Nicki’s Truffle Butter track. Here’s what Nicki had to say about it:

The song was on my album and we don’t know how but it magically ended up in Tyga’s hands and I told him “You know that’s my song”. I told him me and Drake were gonna’ be on it and low and behold it leaked with him on it after I told him not to put it out. And I thought that was you know a little bit disrespectful because I had always shown him love. I had always done stuff with him and took him on tour with me and I thought it was disrespectful ya nah mean cause’ I am the Queen of Young Money ya digg. And then he said some stuff that I didn’t feel. But ya’ know he text’d me after and apologized and he said ya know you always was there for me and I respect that.

When Meek was brought up she laughed and said:

Oh My! No you did not just bring him up (laughs). We’re just super compatible and you know we just be having fun together. You know how that go big boy, nah mean? When the kid do it the kid get it done, nah mean?

Nicki’s hilarious!

Is Dame Dash Calling Jay-Z A Snitch? “There Has To Be Some Truth To It”

jay-z-dame-dashAfter nearly a decade Dame Dash and Jay-Z shook hands and re-united back in 2013 during a mutual friend’s birthday celebration. Since then the two were spotted backstage during a Hov concert flicking it up with Dame’s daughter. We assumed that their bromance was still in tact but aparently it isn’t.

Dame stopped by Sway In The Morning and below is what he had to say about his former business partner:

I don’t have a beef with [Jay Z], I never did. We just approach business different.

At this very moment, based of what I read in the paper. This is the one time that the paper did scare me, where I was like, ‘There has to be some truth to it.’ It’s when I read about his affiliation with informants. He’s in business with certain people. It’s tricky for me to say, but based on where I’m from, I can’t have nothing to do with that.

It’s paper work, so it’s not to believe. There’s paper work. That part of it scares me because I know Kareem ‘Biggs’ [Burke] (Roc-A-Fella founder) is in jail. I know Irv Gotti has been harassed for years for sh*t he didn’t do. They’ve been f*cking with me for years. So, it just means I need to stay over here.

I love Jay, but let’s just say, I find out any of that sh*t [is true], I can’t f-ck with him at all. It’s real serious for me. My man’s in jail, for three years, over weed. The feds is really on me. Where I’m from, that sh*t is not tolerated at all.

Why are the Feds on me?

I don’t know why. I’m not making no accusations, but based on where we from, that doesn’t fly.

It’s likely Dame is referring to a past New York Daily News report that said Jay is in business with a woman named Desiree Perez, who is the wife of the mogul’s longtime associate Juan Perez. She’s said to have “major behind-the-scenes influence” at Roc Nation, though she is not officially an employee, officer or agent at the company.

Yikes!
