That Rihanna reign just won’t let up!

Ri-Ri’s apparent ploy to take over the music and fashion industry is in full effect as the 28 year-old singer continues to release new products and sell out arenas for her Anti World Tour. She’s currently sitting comfortably at the top of the Billboard Music Charts with her hit single “Work” maintaining its #1 spot for the ninth consecutive week.


Earlier today, the chart-topping superstar released her summer sock collection with Stance Socks and from the looks of it, the artist best known for taking fashion risks and pushing the envelope is encouraging just that with this latest collection.

Here’s a sneak peek of what we can expect from Rihanna’s eclectic style in the Fenty for Stance sock collection.

You can also catch Ri-Ri pairing her socks with her highly anticipated Fur Slide sandals from her Fenty by Puma collection set for release April 22nd. Following the success of her recent collaborations with the notable sneaker brand, fans will surely be breaking the internet to grab a pair of slides just as they were for both The Creeper and The Trainer sneaker release. She recently took to her Instagram account to announce the official release date and time for the sandal.

ALERT THE NAVY: New Rihanna Shoe Collab With Manolo Blahnik


Rihanna, Slayanna, Badgalriri whatever you would like to call her, let’s face it she is the ultimate #GIRLBOSS!

It has just been announced that the songstress has teamed up with Manolo Blahnik, the high fashion shoe designer! ‘Denim Desserts is the name of the Spring 2016 shoe collection.


Blahnik said the singer’s “drive, passion, creativity and style have been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results — I think everyone is going to love what they are about to see.” He declined to comment further.

The collection features six shoe designs all exclusively designed by Rihanna and Blahnik. Denim Desserts will be on sale May 5 across three store locations in London, Hong Kong and New York. Rihanna is currently the woman’s creative director of Puma where she designed her first shoe, the Creeper. I think we can all agree, she is certainly enlarging her territory with this Blahnik collaboration!

Luckily, I was able to get my hands on a pair of Creepers, because they sold out within three hours of its release on the Puma website. Although these Blahnik shoes are very pricey, ranging from $895-$3995, I am sure they will sell just as well! How do you like the shoe designs in this collab? Did Rihanna nail it, AGAIN?!

Rihanna Launches New Fenty x Puma Sneaker


Rihanna is showing no signs of slowing down!

The singer just released her new album, Anti, the new music video to her latest single Work, all while showcasing her Puma collab during New York Fashion Week. In addition to, Rih just dropped her new design for the Fenty x Puma Collection. The kicks are crafted to be nothing short of style conscious. Complete with a high-rise tongue and neoprene finish, they are available in black, white, and red styles.

Since becoming Puma Women’s creative director and brand ambassador, The Barbados native has given her edgy fashion views on what is deemed to be forward, cool and wanted. By far this was an undeniable partnership. Rih embodies the Puma x Fenty spirit and has really made her mark in the fashion world once again!

New Video: Rihanna ft. Drake “Work”


Rihanna “Work” her way back to the #1 spot on the chats, with her new island feel track WORK, debuting off her now certified platinum album Anti. This puts the pop princess in the likes of legendary late Michael Jackson, and pop diva Mariah Carey with the record for #1 singles on the Billboard charts.

Rihanna recently dropped the visuals for the new single featuring hip hop rapper Drake. With recent disappointments to fans from cancelled and delayed tour dates, as well as last week Grammy Awards where the star pulled out of a late minute performance.  Rihanna left fans nothing short of disappointment, surprisingly dropping not one but two visuals for the single.  

Part 1 of the video, directed by Director X shows the chart-topping duo in a night posted against the wall, getting it in with a club packed of people dancing and having a good time. The video serves all types of dance hall and island flavor, with tons of whining, grinding and twerking dance moves.

Part 2 of the video, directed by Tim Erem shows Rihanna and Drake in a personal and intimate setting. The scene takes place in a private room where the duo is alone, where the pop princess serves up a sexy and serenading dance with Drake watching from afar.

The Weekend Drops New Limited Edition Varsity Jackets


The Weeknd has teamed up with Canadian retail store Roots, for the release of an exclusive varsity jacket. The white lambskin varsity-style jacket features the “XO” brand design on the back as this is known as the name of the official clothing line of The Weeknd.  Only 60 of these jackets were made and available for sale on February 17, 2016 at Roots ( 80  Bloor St. West Toronto). The day of the release the singer posted:

Kanye West Debuts Yeezy Season 3 Collection During NYFW


Kanye West released his collection, Yeezy Season 3 on February 11 at Madison Square Garden during New York Fashion Week. The debut of Yeezy Season 3 also celebrates the release of Ye’s anticipated album, The Life of Pablo. With creative help from Italian artist, Vanessa Beecroft, Ye’s Season 3 pieces consist of nudes, reds, yellows, black, white and some green sweatsuit and other winter-wear looks. Leotards and crop tops were other styles that graced the bodies of Yeezy’s eccentric models on the NYFW runway.

Wondering who all was in attendance? Seeing that Yeezy is tied to one of Hollywood’s most followed families…yes they were all there. His in-laws and family, the Kardashian Klan that is. The Kardashians and Jenners entered the show at Madison Square Garden all dressed in cream, including the oh-so-stylish North West.

Kim Kardashian-West joins her hubby in making debuts during NYFW by showing off her new platinum blonde hair as she entered the venue. Appearing as twinsies, Caitlyn Jenner and daughter Kendall Jenner arrive at the Yeezy Season 3 fashion show dressed in matching sweater dresses designed by Kanye West and Balmain creative director, Olivier Rousteing. Oh, and how cute is North West in her fur ensemble! Khloe Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom were also in the building, as this was Lamar’s first appearance since being hospitalized in October.

Many of our favorite celebrities were in attendance to see Yeezy Season 3. Spike Lee, Kid Cudi, Jayden Smith, Pusha T, 50 Cent & the beautiful Omari Hardwick aka “Ghost” of  Starz hit TV-series Power, just to name a few.

Video: Shateria Moragne Shares Personal Story At Table Of 20 Event

Yasss bae, give us life! Ha!

Fashion designer and owner of Front Row clothing, Shateria Moragne, was in Atlanta this past weekend and I was one out of the 20 individuals that were invited to hear her share her personal story and testimony. If you follow this brown bombshell on Instagram you already know she slays but doesn’t speak much which leaves us wanting to know more about her. She has been almost a mystery up until now.

The Table Of 20 Event was held this past Saturday by the BFirm PR at Neiman Marcus in the Lenox Mall. Very upscale, chic and exclusive brunching experience. While we waited for our entrees to come out Shateria told us stories about her hair. You were probably thinking that muva was being styled and colored by some celebrity styling hair gawd if so, you were wrong. She actually grew up in a hair salon so she knows a thing or two about the hair industry. Her mother is a stylist and has been doing her hair for most of her life but she admits that when her mother isn’t around she colors and styles her hair with a $20 old school curling iron. Who knew?

With a drink in one hand and phone in the other, I honed in as Shateria shared her journey and secrets to success. I was able to capture some footage before my phone ran out of storage. HA!

Peep the excerpts below.

On what she was doing before fashion:

I used to be a choreographer. I used to teach dance classes and everything like that. And I was like you know what? I’m going to start a T-shirt line.

Living in Miami somewhat shifted the original idea of just t-shirts and inspired the Baltimore native’s high end clothing line. Due to the hot temperatures and beaches in Miami, it’s no secret that the women like to walk around in their bikinis. With the clothing line which was originally supposed to be called Broken Zippers, Shateria wanted to send the message that it’s okay to have clothes on and still be cute. Months later she was showing Front Row clothing during New York Fashion Week.

You can’t come up in here with no t-shirts. They gone be like ‘oh okay, next!’. So I showed at New York Fashion Week. I promise you, people that I care for most were so against me showing in New York Fashion Week. “You’re not ready” “This just happened for you” “I don’t think you’re ready, try next year”. And I was like okay, mind you I’m a very private person so when I come up with something and write my ideas its all within me. It’s not me telling the world. I believe that when you include people its just too many signals. I mean I’m a pisces I’m already overthinking everything. “They not gone like it” “What if the zipper’s not right” “What if the colors are wack”. I don’t need you and you and you in my mind because then it will never get done.

On the response after her first runway show at New York Fashion Week:

So people that were close to me and telling me “You’re not ready” “Fashion week is too big”, I’m an up north girl it’s not too big for me! Im going to take my talent to New York and we gone rock. And that’s just what it’s going to be. So I showed in NYFW and when I tell you, it was so crazy. It was so amazing it was a hit, ever since that day. And the people that were against me, that night called and was like “OMG I’m so proud of you” “OMG you did so good”, straight on me. I was like for real? Really? Oh okay! So if I had to give any advice it would be do not listen to people around you.

On being an African American woman in a Caucasian dominated industry:

I really feel like as an African-American woman, there are so many Caucasian women that do this. We out here too! And it’s fine cause we’re gonna’ get it and I love that cause I’m a part of that. I am a brown girl forever! And I think that it’s just amazing. So when I see other women doing their thing it really does inspire me.

On how important legacy is:

… If you never try it then you’ll never become anything and your legacy will just be like, BLAH. You’ll just die and be a person that was here. Who wants to do that? Legacy is so important to me. You want to leave this earth with a mark.

On the biggest lesson she’s learned thus far in her career, being kind:

I promise the world is this small. You gotta’ be kind to everybody even if you don’t wanna’ be. Because they might be the sister to the  person that you may need for something.

Oops! Laura Govan Boob Pops Out At Wedding Ringer Movie Premiere


And then this happened…

Basketball Wives sisters Gloria and Laura Govan hit the red carpet for the premiere of Wedding Ringer at the TCL Chinese Theatre last night. The duo smiled for the cameras in their Michael Costello dresses both wearing gold pumps to match. But it was all fun and games until a boob popped out.

Cha little miss Laura was oblivious to the fact that her entire boob had escaped from the cup of her dress.

Power Couple Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Are The New Face Of Balmain


Power Couple: A supercouple or super couple (also known as a power couple) is a popular or wealthy pairing that intrigues and fascinates the public in an intense or even obsessive fashion. 

They say you shouldn’t be dating a person that can’t make you better. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are everything but shy of that statement. Over the years we’ve watched these two assist in building one another’s brands. While Kanye is so passionate about fashion, at one point he had Kim clean out her entire closet and helped revamp it with all new pieces. All last year we watched the rapper get emotional while ranting about the corporations that aren’t allowing him to break into the fashion world.

Well, luckily his wife is really good friends with Balmain’s creative director Oliver Rouesting. That friendship has paved the way for Kim and Kanye to become the face of Balmain’s 2015 spring/summer menswear collection. This campaign could be the start of something huge for Kanye’s fashion ideas in the near future.

When it came to picking the face of the new collection. Oliver says he chose Kimye because:

… I wanted to capture a moment of love. Kim and Kanye are style icons and friends. It is an honour to have them in this Balmain campaign. Together, they represent love, beauty and diversity—they are the new modernity. This is more than a campaign, it expresses something beyond clothes—it is a celebration of love and friendship. This is a new statement for Balmain.
