ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF THE HIGH WAIST SKIRT!…

If there was such a crown to be held it would most definitely sit upon Kim Kardashian’s perfectly manicured tresses and surely have the carat count to match the multi-million dollar weeding band that only the Future Wife of Yeezus could carry around. It’s been stated many times that Kanye is the brain behind Kim K’s new sophisticated and chic look. Even featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians during a closet overall in which he rids of every single item and replaces it with the highest of high end pieces. (Do men like this really exist?? LOL) Some of her best range from the monotone all white or all black 2-piece sets to the spring pastel color blocking that we have grown quite fond of. But we can’t let her have all the style fun. Hints this complete guide to STEAL HER LOOK!

I have searched high and low to find items ranging from your department store finds, online retailer specialties and even a few high-end designer duds  that will allow you to recreate, copy and play around with a few of Kim K’s best looks. So let’s dive right in!

The Naked Look– Go for a head to toe nude, beige or skin-tone ensemble. The monochromatic color palette with slim you out and accentuate your curves while the color exudes sex appeal.

Color Block Basics– Maybe the easiest first attempt for the 2-pc ensemble beginner. Place a white basic crop tee up top and a slim fit/ streamlined black piece on the bottom to balance out the body and create a simple, easy, day-time look!

c. Nasty Gal Just Enough Midi Skirt– $48.00; d. VERSUS Soft Jersey Skirt– $303.00

Lady in Lace– Probably one of the most fashion forward 2-pc looks is the all-white head-to-toe lace ensemble. Can easily be recreated in pastels or in all black for the lady with the less forgiving figure.

e. Indah Maxi Mermaid Skirt– $275; f. Tome Lace Midi Skirt– $975.00

Leather, No Lace- A head to toe all black ensemble hold many great qualities. It can slim the figure visually, accentuate the curves depending on fit and hems and be very versatile. Notice that at most Kim only reveals 1-2″ of midriff flesh- very important to keep this look classy and not trashy!

g. ASOS Pencil Skirt in Leather– $169.33; h. J.W. Anderson Chevron Wrapped Faux Leather Skirt– $1,023.00

Snow White– The head to toe look of this Spring ’14 season. All-white is definitely a spring/summer favorite. Not only is it the most airy, lightweight color on the spectrum but its also frequently a dress-code must have from all white parties, yacht parties, to summer brunches.

i. Akris Asymmetrical Wrap Skirt- $1390.00; j. Marcelle Knit Midi Skirt– $58.00

Mint Condition– Noted as one of the best-selling and therefore hardest to find color of this spring- Mint green is a must purchase color! The pastel base of this color makes it airy and light. Its ability to work well with other Spring ’14 colors including tangerine, lavender, pastel pink make it a color blocking component.

k. Zara Faux Leather Tube Skirt– $59.90; l. Preston & York Taylor Mint Skirt– $59.00

Lavender Kisses– This color can work very much to the same extent as the Mint green detailed above. For this particular look- Kim K cute a one piece dress into a midriff baring crop top and a below the knee pencil skirt. A great DIY idea for those that may already have a fitted maxi dress in their closet.

m. ASOS Pencil Skirt in Sweat with Wrap Detail– $47.04; n. ASOS Full Midi Skirt in Leather– $225.77

Forest Form & Function- This is a great look for me to discuss the architecture of the 2-pc look. The most important components when finding the best crop top and skirt for your body are the hemlines, sleeve lengths and midriff reveal. Kim K is famous for her voluptuous physique; however, it can frequently appear mis-proportioned. In this particular look, she overcomes this visual by keeping her top a light color, with crop sleeves and a hemline right above the belly button paired with a dark skirt hitting right at the knee. She then added nude/skin-tone heels to create the visual of an elongated leg. Go ahead! Recreate this for yourself and see how your body proportions change in the mirror!

o. Burberry Prorsum Draped Skirt– $1,295.00; p. Susana Monaco Slim Skirt– $74.00

I’ve Got the BLUES!– Denim is and will forever be a fashionista’s best friend! And when paired with leather its a combo to be reckoned with.

q. ASOS Pencil Skirt in Leather Look – $56.44; r. Isabel Marant Bettya Lambskin Leather Skirt– $2,095

A True Nude– An ok look for Kim that just so happens to do the complete opposite for her body than the Forest Form & Function look above. Note that hips appear extremely wide and how top-heavy she appears. This look could however work wonders for the slimmer or less shapely girl who wants to accentuate or create an illusion to what she has. Go very light on the top, ad nude from the waist down to create an hourglass shape, and an elongated leg!

s. ASOS Pencil Skirt in Patent PU– $71.49 ; t. Reed Krakoff Asymmetric Leather Slit Skirt– $2,190.00

So that’s a wrap! 10 ways to Steal Kim K’s signature look!
