Drake has had quite an amazing week thus far. After the successful debut of his album Nothing Was The Same, projected to sell roughly $670,000 copies in its first week, the 26-year old Canadian rapper is repping for his city even harder as the new global ambassador of the Toronto Raptors.
During yesterdays press conference, it was announced that Drake’s new executive position would include expanding the team’s brand, redesigning their image, and launching a Raptors clothing line.
With the famed rapper and die hard fan on board, the struggling team hopes to not only attract new fans but also attract top-level free agent players to their team.
During the conference, Drake expressed his love for his team and his city.
I was a Vince Carter guy. I was a Damon Stoudamire guy. I was a (Tracy McGrady) guy. I’ve supported the franchise through our ups and downs. More than anything, I’m a Toronto guy. I’m a city guy. I care about the city more than anything in the world.
Drizzy’s new position officially begins during the 2014-2015 NBA season in preparation for the 2016 NBA All Star Game also held in Toronto.
Now I have to be completely honest with you guys, I knew nothing about this new reality television show The New Atlanta up until a couple of weeks ago when I was invited to the premiere party in Atlanta. After laying eyes upon Jevon Sims (photographed above) I will admit that this unscripted, drama filled reality show will definitely have my attention. Don’t judge me. Ha!
Looks like Jevon is being a little player though! In the mini trailer Jevon is dating both Africa (photographed above) and Alexandra Dilworth which causes tension between the two ladies and a few heartaches as well. Not only is the drama unfolding in their love lives but they all are also struggling with the pressures of trying to make it in such cut throat industries while living in Black Hollywood Atlanta.
What we like about this new reality show is that it isn’t an all black cast like the ones that we are used to seeing. Get into the trailer below.
Africa looks awesome while rocking the Skin to Skin bandage dress by our good friends over at ShopKin.
